Data Controller
VoxKind is the data controller for your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French law. This policy describes what data we collect, why, and how we use it.
Data Collected
We collect the following data: (1) Account data: email address, hashed password, optional first/last name; (2) Usage data: texts submitted for voice generation, generated audio files, export history; (3) Billing data: credit purchase history, without storing card details (handled by our payment provider); (4) Technical data: IP address, browser type, access logs.
Purposes of Processing
Your data is used to: (1) Provide and improve the VoxKind service; (2) Manage your account and authenticate your access; (3) Process your credit purchases; (4) Send you transactional communications (confirmations, security alerts); (5) Analyse service usage in an aggregated and anonymised manner to improve our features.
Legal Basis
The processing of your data is based on the following legal grounds: performance of a contract (provision of the service), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, service improvement), consent (marketing communications, if applicable), and legal obligation (retention of certain billing data).
Data Retention
Your account data is retained for the lifetime of your account, then deleted within 30 days of account closure. Billing data is retained for 10 years in accordance with legal obligations. Generated audio files are retained for 1 month and then automatically deleted for accounts without an active subscription. For accounts with an active subscription, audio files are retained for the entire duration of the subscription. In all cases, you can delete your audio files at any time from your personal account.
Cookies
VoxKind uses cookies essential to the operation of the service (authentication, language and theme preferences). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, which may affect certain features.
Third-Party Providers
We use technical providers to operate the service: cloud hosting (data stored in Europe), payment provider (PCI-DSS compliant, does not store your card data), AI voice providers. These providers are only authorised to use your data for the purpose of providing their services and are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights: access to your data, rectification, erasure (right to be forgotten), objection to processing, restriction of processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
